WHO IS LESLIE?

Leslie Barron Hubrich, born February 21, 1977, in Highland, Utah, grew up as the third of six children in a seemingly perfect, LDS (mormon) household with a nurturing mother and playful father. At 19, she entered an LDS temple marriage with William Lysy in 1997, and they had four children. Their 11-year union unraveled in 2008 when Leslie filed for divorce, alleging Lysy’s domestic violence, volatile temper, and frequent absences due to travel—claims he rebutted by accusing her of eight affairs, including a scandalous encounter with her paragliding instructor, caught mid-act in his office.

After the split, Leslie initially secured primary custody of the children, later agreeing to a 50/50 arrangement with Lysy, though their co-parenting descended into a chaotic swirl of police interventions and courtroom clashes. Her romantic life post-divorce was a stormy saga: she dated Bill Heaner (2008-2010), became engaged to Freddy Carter—who “allegedly” shot himself in 2011 while headed to Mexico with Leslie and a bunch of money in the car (Santa Cruz County Officials Refuse to Release $10K Impounded from Girlfriend During Investigation of Boyfriend’s Suicide)—then cycled through Les Brooks (2013-2014) and James Allred (2015-2018). In March 2020, she married Dan Hubrich, a father of three, and relocated from Cedar Hills to North Salt Lake, further complicating custody dynamics.

Beneath her polished exterior, Leslie’s life teemed with turmoil and legal entanglements. In 2011, she was arrested for possessing Carter’s “stolen” Jeep, facing forgery and obstruction charges. A 2014 police report detailed her threatening suicide with a gun while intoxicated, her children present. Psychological evaluations diagnosed her with Borderline Personality Disorder, laced with narcissistic and histrionic traits, highlighting her defensive “fake good” facade and allegations of emotional abuse. Her adult children have painted a picture of a manipulative and unstable mother.

More recently, Leslie’s exploits escalated with her owl, Oaky, seized by Utah’s Division of Wildlife Resources for violating numerous regulations. Leveraging Oaky, she built a massive social media following as “meandmyowl,” only to pivot to “Oakytheowl” after losing the bird—and her original accounts—amid her ongoing divorce from Hubrich. Now facing a litany of pending charges, Leslie’s trail of disruption continues, her life a volatile blend of deception, drama, and danger, leaving wrecked relationships in its wake. This website seeks to unmask her, aiming for accountability, perhaps even some actual justice.
